Follow these tips to prevent transaction failures and unnecessary fees:
1. Manage Your Subscriptions
Subscription services operate on recurring automatic billing cycles (monthly, quarterly, or annually). Please note that freezing, reporting, deleting, or allowing a card to expire does not guarantee that merchants will stop attempting to charge the card.
If the card is no longer valid, the charge request may be declined — but related fees could still be triggered.
We recommend regularly reviewing all subscription services linked to your UUPAY card and unlinking the card from any apps or platforms you no longer use.
2. Make Sure Your Card Status Is Active
Before making a transaction, please confirm that your card is active.
Payments may be declined if your card is:
Frozen
Reported lost
Expired
Deleted
You can check your card status anytime in the UUPAY app to ensure it is available for transactions.
Any of the above statuses will prevent transactions from being processed.
3. Ensure Sufficient Account Balance
Before making a payment, confirm that your balance fully covers the transaction amount.
We recommend enabling the low-balance alert feature. When your balance falls below your preset threshold, you will receive notifications via app push and email.
It’s advisable to maintain a balance slightly higher than the payment amount to cover potential fees.
For example, if your payment is $100 and your account balance is exactly $100, the transaction may fail due to insufficient funds to cover transaction fees.
4. Review Payment Settings Before Transacting
Before completing a transaction, please verify the following:
The crypto asset you intend to use is enabled as an available payment option.
The target local currency is activated for transactions on your card.
The card has payment permissions enabled for the specific transaction type.
The transaction amount does not exceed your per-transaction or daily spending limits.
You can adjust these settings within the UUPAY app.
5. Follow Merchant Policies
Please only transact with merchants that accept UUPAY card payments and ensure you comply with their specific payment terms and restrictions.
