Important Notice
Carrier Lock: In addition to meeting the model requirements listed below, your device must be carrier-unlocked (unlocked version).
Regional Variants: Versions of the same model released in different countries or regions (such as Chinese Mainland editions, certain non-US models, etc.) may not support eSIM due to local policies or hardware differences. Please check your actual device settings to see if you can "Add eSIM / Cellular Plan."
Apple
Most newer generations of iPhones, as well as iPads and Apple Watches with cellular capabilities, support eSIM technology.
iPhone:
iPhone XR / XS / XS Max and all newer series (including iPhone 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, and their Pro/Max/Mini/Plus/e variants).
iPhone SE (2020 / 2022 versions).
iPhone Air / 17 series (Note: iPhone 17e and iPhone Air include specific models compatible with Chinese Mainland; other Chinese Mainland iPhone editions do not feature eSIM functionality).
Note: US models of the iPhone 14 and later series have removed the physical SIM slot and strictly support eSIM only.

How to Quickly Check If Your Phone Supports eSIM
If you are unsure whether your device is on the list above, you can check it manually:
iOS System: Go to Settings -> Cellular, and check if there is an option for "Add eSIM" or "Add Cellular Plan".
Android System: Go to Settings -> Connections / Network & Internet -> SIM Card Manager / Mobile Network, and see if you have the option to "Download eSIM" or "Add Smart Card".
