How to Activate UUPAY eSIM?

Before You Start
Before beginning the installation, please ensure that you meet the following baseline requirements:
Network Connection: Ensure your device is connected to a stable Wi-Fi network or a smooth 4G/5G mobile network (an active internet connection is required to download the eSIM configuration profile).
Device Unlocked: Confirm that your phone supports eSIM and is an open, carrier-unlocked (network-unlocked) version.
Get Credentials: Have the eSIM QR code or activation code provided by UUPAY ready.
Option 1: iPhone (iOS) Activation Guide
Method 1: Scan QR Code to Install (Recommended & Fastest)
Open the built-in Camera App on your iPhone.
Aim the camera at the UUPAY eSIM QR code to scan it.
When the "Cellular Plan Detected" pop-up notification appears on the screen, tap it to proceed.
Follow the on-screen system prompts and tap "Continue". Wait for the device to complete the activation process (this typically takes 1–5 minutes), then tap "Done".
Rename Label (Optional): We recommend naming the newly added plan "UUPAY" for easy recognition and management.
Method 2: Manual Installation via System Settings
Go to iPhone Settings > Cellular.
Tap the "Add eSIM" option.
Choose "Use QR Code", and then tap "Enter Details Manually" at the bottom of the scanning screen.
Accurately enter the activation details provided by UUPAY, and follow the prompts to continue until activation is complete.
Recommended Post-Activation Setup
Default Line: We recommend keeping your primary physical SIM card as the default line for voice calls.
Cellular Data: Switch your default mobile data line to the newly added UUPAY eSIM.
Data Roaming (Crucial Step): Go to Settings > Cellular > tap into your "UUPAY label" > make sure to toggle "Data Roaming" to ON. This ensures your data connects properly.
Option 2: Android Activation Guide
(Taking a mainstream Samsung system layout as an example; the process remains basically identical for native Android, Pixel, or other custom UI systems):
Method 1: Scan QR Code to Install
Open your phone's Settings > Connections > tap into "SIM Card Manager".
Find and tap "Add eSIM".
Select "Scan carrier QR code".
Scan the UUPAY eSIM QR code, tap "Add", and wait for the system network configuration to finalize activation.
Method 2: Manual Installation via System Settings
Go to Settings > Connections > "SIM Card Manager".
Tap "Add eSIM" > at the bottom of the QR scanning screen, tap "Enter activation code" (or input details manually).
Type in the activation code string provided by UUPAY, then click OK to activate.
Recommended Post-Activation Setup
Preferred SIM Card: Inside the SIM Card Manager, specify the UUPAY eSIM as your default card for "Mobile Data / Internet."
Data Roaming (Crucial Step): Go to Settings > Connections > Mobile Networks > make sure to turn "Data Roaming" ON to successfully start your smooth global internet experience.
Troubleshooting & FAQ
Q: Why does it show "Unable to add this plan" when scanning the QR code?
A: Please check whether your phone is connected to a stable Wi-Fi network. Additionally, confirm that this specific eSIM configuration profile hasn't been previously installed on your phone, and double-check that your device hardware natively supports eSIM (refer to our companion guide [Which Devices Support eSIM?]).
Q: Can I uninstall an eSIM and rescan the QR code to install it on another phone?
A: No. Normally, each eSIM QR code can only be bound to a single chip on a single device. Do not easily tap "Delete/Remove" plan in your settings. If you need to switch devices, please contact our official customer service for assistance first.
