How to bind the UUPAY card to Uber?

Updated over 2 months ago

By binding your UUPAY card to Uber, you can directly use your digital assets to pay for global rides and Uber Eats orders.

I. Path to Bind a New Card

  1. Enter Finance Management: Open the Uber App, tap "Account" in the bottom-right corner, then select "Wallet."

  2. Add Payment Method: In the "Payment Methods" section, tap "Add Payment Method."

  3. Enter Security Information: Select "Credit or Debit Card," and accurately enter your 16-digit UUPAY card number, expiry date (MM/YY), and CVV code.

  4. Verify Billing Address: The system may require a billing address and Postal/Zip Code. Please ensure these match exactly with the details in your UUPAY App.

  5. Save and verify: Tap "Save." Uber may initiate a small pre-authorization hold (typically released immediately) to confirm card validity.

II. Update Existing Card Information

If you have performed a "Card Replacement" or "Renew" action in the UUPAY App, resulting in a change to your CVV or expiry date, please follow these steps to sync the information and avoid payment failures:

  1. Locate the Card: On the "Wallet" page, tap your linked UUPAY card.

  2. Edit Details: Tap "Edit" (or the three-dot icon).

  3. Correct Data: Update the latest expiry date, CVV code, or billing postal code.

  4. Confirm and Save: Tap "Save" to complete the synchronization.
